Edith Gibson

April 20, 1921 — February 9, 2009

Edith Gibson, age 87, died February 9, 2009 at Willow Brook Christian Home in Worthington, Ohio. Greeting her on the other side of life were here husband, Rev. Glyde Gibson; great grandson, Duncan Arthur; parents, Charles and Alma Behmer; two sisters, Vivian and Betty Ann and one brother, William.

Left to mourn her passing are her three daughters, Vianne Jim Mikkelson; Lynette Henry Decher and Melodee Jerry Patterson; like a daughter, Kathy Dennis Fetty; six grandchildren, Jo Ann Haidet, Greg Schank, Scott Arthur, Joe Patterson, Heather Keener and Ben Patterson; six step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.

She was born in Chicago, IL, April 20, 1921 to Swedish immigrant parents and was a war bride to Glyde Gibson, December 1, 1945. She lived in the Logan area for over 50 years until she needed nursing care six years ago. She had a passion for people in need and for right to life organizations that helped young girls. Instead of spending on flowers, she would prefer you spend your time helping others in her honor. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the Peoples Church, 30811 Lake Logan Rd., Logan, officiated by Rev. Joe Patterson and Rev. Chuck Fidler. Family will greet friends and loved ones, one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
