Rollie Fisher

November 18, 1935 — March 5, 2009

Rollie ""Jeep"" Fisher, 73, of Logan, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Ohio State University Medical Center East in Columbus, following an extended illness. He was born November 18, 1935, in Lancaster, son of the late Rollie B. and Pauline Bunch Fisher.

He was formerly employed with Armco National Steel and was a member of Local Union 423. Rollie was an avid coin collector, enjoyed playing cards with his buddies and quilting.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet S. Dexter Fisher; daughters, Regina Fisher, Karon Fisher and Judi Harris all of Logan; Sharon Fisher of Blacklick and Tonya Clay Coleman of Lancaster; grandchildren, Tyler and Trent Harris, Kasee and Katee Cannon; great grandson, Amari Palmer all of Logan; brother, Thomas Florence Fisher of Bexley; sisters, Addie Fisher of Canal Winchester, Kathy Fisher and Ruby Moxley both of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Charles JJ Peppers and Richard Peppers of Columbus, Jack Betty Dexter of Logan; sister-in-law, Jean Mitchell of Logan and a multitude of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Charles Mitchell and Walter Moxley and best buddies, Harry Jackson and Kenneth Saunders.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor John Williams officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
