George Edward Yeknich

George Edward Yeknich, 56, of Logan, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born August 11, 1952, in Logan, son of Lynia Hart Bond of Logan and the late Walter Michael Yeknich.

He was a retired mechanist, an Army Veteran and a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.

George is survived by one son; one daughter; a brother, Walter Michael Patty Yeknich of Maui, Hawaii and two nieces, Kelly and Meagan.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ralph Bond.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, March 20, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests contributions be made in memory of George Edward Yeknich, to the Smith Chapel Food Pantry, 1333 E. Front St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
