Darlene Seitz

Darlene Seitz, 79, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born August 29, 1929, in Columbus, daughter of the late Charlie and Hazel Barnett Sowers. Darlene was the widow of the late Harley Calvin Seitz.

She was a former nurse's assistant at Adena Regional Medical Center for 25 years and along with her husband, owned and operated Seitz's Restaurant in Allensville.

Darlene is survived by two sons, Roger Cheryl Seitz of Coshocton and Ronnie Vickie Seitz of Chillicothe; a daughter, Cathy Bruce Davis of Frankfort, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Ron, Chuck, John and Steve Seitz, Robin Vogel, Rhonda Shelton, Bryan and Chris Davis; seventeen great grandchildren; four sisters, Wavalene Cecil of McArthur, Shelby Thacker of Hamden, Maxine Haddox of Stoutsville and Mary Alford of Jackson and a sister-in-law, Becky Teeters of Chillicothe.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Allensville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5-8 P.M.
