Dr. Robert P. Merrill Iii

Dr. Robert P. Merrill III, 62, of Logan, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. He was born January 17, 1947, in Columbus, son of Peggy Fahy Merrill of Columbus and the late Robert P. Merrill Jr.

He was a retired dentist in Logan after practicing for 34 years. Jack was a member and usher of The Vineyard Church in Columbus and was an usher at the Ohio Theatre and the Palace Theater in Columbus for CAPA. He was also a member of Hidden Haven Gun Club.

In addition to his mother, Jack is survived by two sons, Michael Merrill of Columbus and Ryan Merrill of Logan; a daughter, Meghan Michael Rempe of Lancaster; a grandson, Caden Merrill of Logan; three brothers, Stephen Merrill of Seattle, Washington, Dr. Timothy Lois Merrill of Newcomerstown, Ohio and Christopher Merrill of Chicago and a sister, Ellen Sullivan of Columbus.

A Memorial service will be held 6:30 P.M., Thursday, April 2, 2009 at The Vineyard Church of Columbus, 6000 Cooper Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43081. Jack's request was to be cremated. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan on Tuesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
