Betty Jane Engle

Betty Jane Engle, 86, of Logan, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born June 22, 1922, in Hocking County, daughter of the late Charles B. and Ruth Ellinger Geil. Betty was the widow of the late Herbert E. Engle. They were married on March 9, 1946.

She was member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Betty is survived by sons, Stephen E. Joan Engle and Rick E. Georgann Engle, both of Logan; grandchildren, Bryan Jackie Engle of Middletown, Chris Megan Engle of Delaware, Ohio and Tiffany J. Engle of Grand Rapids, Michigan and a sister, Dorothy L. Beougher of Logan.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Geil and a stepmother, Cora Schultz Geil.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, April 2, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Gerald Frazee officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
