Mary D. Post

Mary D. Post, 62, of Hamden, passed away Friday, April 10, 2009 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1946, in Arlington, Virginia, daughter of the late Walter E. and Mary Francis Kimball Brown. Mary was married to Larry S. Post, who survives.

She was a very loving, kind and generous person.

Mary is survived by sons, Scott Walton of Hamden, Matthew Jackie Morris Jocelyn of Hamden and Richard Jocelyn of Stanley, Virginia; daughters, Laura Reed of Hamden and Kayla and Jamie Jocelyn of Hamden; grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly and Hannah; one great granddaughter and a sister, Sharon Al Korngage of Woodbridge, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Chandler and a sister, Francis Wrye.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Matt Gapinski officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 1 P.M. until the time of the service.
