L. Murray Haskins

Murray Haskins, 74, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus. He was born April 30, 1934 in Gallia County, son of the late Loricemae Murray Parsons. He was married to Dorothy Brown Haskins, who survives, for 54 years.

Murray was a retired Printer at the Nelsonville Tribune and was a member of the First Christian Church, Nelsonville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey Bev Haskins of Gallipolis; a daughter, Sue Randy Dishong of Nelsonville; a grandson who was raised in the home, Jeremy Brooks of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Matthew Jan Haskins and Megan Haskins both of Gallipolis and Haley Talbert of Nelsonville; and five great grandchildren.

In accordance with Mr. Haskins wishes, he will be cremated and a private service will be held at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
