Kenneth Dale Stevens Sr.

Kenneth Dale Stevens, Sr., 52, of South Bloomingville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 24, 1956, in Vinton County, son of the late Thomas and Laurabelle Mercer Stevens. Kenny was married to Kathryn Robison Stevens, who survives.

Kenny is survived by two sons, Baretta James ""BJ"" Misty Prater Stevens and Kenneth Dale Stevens Jr. both of South Bloomingville; a daughter, Sandra ""Sis"" Doug Hill of South Bloomingville; three grandchildren, Bradley and Derek Stevens and Meranda Hill; three brothers, Rocky Stevens of Vinton County, Tim Stevens of Londonderry and David Stevens of South Bloomingville and three sisters, Marcella Roister of Londonderry, Patty Davis of South Bloomingville and Connie Rooker of Lancaster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Stevens; two sisters, Pauline Woodard and Violet Anderson and a brother Rev. Wilford Thomas Stevens.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Chestnut Grove Church, South Bloomingville with Rev. James Wine officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, from 12 noon until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
