Mae O. Lamb, 87, of Zaleski, is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. She departed this life Thursday, June 25, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Mae was born March 20, 1922 in Madison County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Vollie and Lecy Mullins McCollum. She was the widow of the late Motton P. Lamb.
Mae was a member of the Prattsville Community Church.
She is survived by sons, Paul Lamb, Arnold Shirley Lamb, Donald Janet Lamb, Terry Kim Lamb, Jerry Kathy Lamb, Larry Paula Lamb and Rick Tracey Lamb; daughters, Autumn Robert Phelps, Carol Lamb, Charlotte Denver McCarty and Connie Lamb; twenty seven grandchildren; forty nine great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; a brother, Elijah Bee McCollum and sisters, Frances Allen and Dorothy Wynn.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mae was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Ray Lamb; granddaughter, Tammy Taylor; great grandson, Tee Jay LeMay; a sister, Susie Phillips and brothers, Harley, John and Ike McCollum.
Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, June 28, 2009 in the Prattsville Community Church, Old US 50, Prattsville, with Pastor Donald Lamb and Pastor Denver McCarty officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Saturday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Sunday, at the church from 12 noon until the time of the service.
