Linda Sue Taylor, 67, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, formerly of Logan, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Centegra Hospital in McHenry, Illinois. She was born January 22, 1942, in Matewan, West Virginia, daughter of Bessie Mitchum Layne of Lake in the Hills, Illinois and the late Leonard Layne. Linda was the widow of the late Eugene Franklin Taylor Sr.

She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

Linda is survived by a son, Eugene Franklin Catherine Taylor Jr. of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; grandchildren, Eugene Franklin Taylor III, Amanda Sue Taylor, Anthony Pozzie, Thomas Pozzie and Elizabeth Webber; great grandchildren, Eugene Franklin Taylor IV and Zowie Enid Taylor; brothers, Jessie Mitchum of Huntington, West Virginia, Roger Whitt of North Carolina, Donnie Howell of Florida and Ricky May of Kentucky; sisters, Alice Faye Blackwell of Indiana, Mary Clark of Genoa, Ohio, Brenda Schroder of Columbus and Gail Mitchem; brothers and sisters-in-law, Betty Feyh of Logan, Lois Chrysler of Logan, Joyce and Hank Foister of Lancaster and Jeanet and Frank Ward of Hudson, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Lee Taylor and a brother, James Hunt.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hocking County, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
