Barbara Darlene Whitmore

Barbara Darlene Whitmore, 66, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, June 29, 2009 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born February 14, 1943 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late John and Margie Cunningham Kimes. Barbara was married to Harold B. Whitmore, who survives.

She retired from Goodyear in Logan, was a member of the Nelsonville Church of the Nazarene, Nelsonville Eagles and the Logan Moose Lodge.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by sons, Thomas Z. Hull of Lima, James L. Cullison of Nelsonville and Bobby Whitmore of Carbon Hill; daughters, Cindy John Russell Cullison of Nelsonville and Kelly Donnie Smith of Carbon Hill; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald, John and Jamie Kimes all of California, Charles Kimes of New Mexico, Michael Kimes of Rhode Island and Rick Kimes of Carbon Hill and sisters, Shirley Perry of New Marshfield and Kay Ross of California.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 3, 2009 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Connett Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
