Frances Mae Quick, 91, of McArthur, passed away Monday, June 30, 2009 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born May 19, 1918, in Wellston, daughter of the late Stace and Flora Nelson Peck. Frances was the widow of the late Delver Martin Quick.
She was a retired cook, a member of the McArthur Church of the Nazarene and a member of the Eastern Star in Zaleski.
Frances is survived by sons, Jack Nancy Quick of Lancaster, Dave Mary Hughes Quick of Columbus and Gary Shelly Quick of Westerville; a stepson, Ramone Salisbury of California; grandchildren, Sheri Michael Kamer of Columbus, Allison James Merrick of Scotland, Lindsey Joshua Lamica of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jarrod Hannah Quick of Indianapolis, Indiana and Brittany McCray of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Max, Avery and Jack Kamer all of Columbus; sisters, Betty Welker of McArthur, Anna Essman of McArthur and Janice Wolfe of The Plains; a former daughter-in-law, Norma Gustin of Venice, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Ivan Salisbury; a grandson, John Quick and three sisters, Bonnie Dodrill, Margie Thompson and Bertha Jeffers.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, July 6, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Bill Roth officiating. Interment will be in Putnam Chapel Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6-8 P.M.
