Genoa Ann Barber

Genoa Ann Barber, 69, of Creola, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at her residence. She was born January 3, 1940 in Columbus, daughter of the late William Knapp and Neva Thomas DeLong. Ann was married to Robert Crane Barber Sr., who survives.

She was the former accountant for Robert Barber and Associates and a member of Grace Baptist Church in McArthur.

In addition to her husband, Ann is survived by a son, Robert Crane Michelle Barber Jr., of Crescent City, California; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Lynn Forbes of Lafayette, Colorado; three grandchildren, LaTisha and Cameron Forbes and Katie Shinn; a sister, Garnette Henning of Grove City and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Edith Christine Barber.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, July 5, 2009 in the Grace Baptist Church, 201 E. High St., McArthur with Pastor Roger Hauck officiating. Friends may call Sunday at the church from 1:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made in memory of G. Ann Barber to the American Cancer Society, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215-1165.
