Mildred Bell Stump Brumfield, 89, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Yorkland Park Care Center in Columbus. She was born March 11, 1920, in Carbondale, daughter of the late Charles and Edith Hill Stump. Mildred was the widow of the late William Brumfield.
She was a retired caregiver.
Mildred is survived by brothers, Clifford Stump of Columbus and Charles Dixie Stump of Nelsonville; sisters, Gladys Holly of The Plains, Faye Reeves of Logan and Jane Thomas of Buchtel; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Stump, Nancy Stump and Becky Stump Brown and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd, Howard, Paul, Eddie and Willard Stump and sisters, Ella Bodkins Gardine and Irene Trimble.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, July 9, 2009 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. David Cogar officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
