Mary Virginia Denham

Mary Virginia Denham, 85, of Gahanna, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Arbors East Nursing Home in Columbus. She was born February 8, 1926, in Athens County, daughter of the late Rev. Benjamin J. and Lottie Pearl Mattox Hall. Mary was the widow of the late John Denham.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nelsonville.

Mary is survived by a brother, Bill Loretta Hall of Lancaster; sisters, Lucille Conrad of Lancaster, Georgiana Woodson of Nelsonville, Roxie Dabney of Columbus, Susie Robert Miller of Woodbridge, VA and Dolly Rod Shaner of Darbyville, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Angela Hall of Columbus; special niece, Joyce Christian and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Conrad and a brother, Gilbert Hall.

A memorial service will be held 2 P.M., Monday, August 3, 2009 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Ronald Chunn officiating. Cremation has taken place and no visitation will be held.

The family suggests contributions be made in memory of Mary Virginia Denham to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 145 , Nelsonville, Ohio 45764.
