Michael John Mingus

Michael John Mingus, 48, of Rockbridge, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 1, 1961, in Athens, son of Virginia Norris Mingus of Rockbridge and the late John David Mingus.

He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Logan.

In addition to his mother, Michael is survived by a brother, Mark David Rita Coakley Mingus of New Lexington; sisters, Vicki Ed Harden of Logan and Virginia Marie Don Sigler of Logan; nieces, Katherine, Michelle and Erin Sigler, Marcia Jones and Heather Mingus; nephews, Matthew and Ryan Sigler and Robert Harden; special caregiver, April Johnson and special friends, Randy, Crystal, Kelly and Steve.

Michael was preceded in death by his father and brother, Aaron Matthew Mingus.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, August 27, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Elder Joe Grubb officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
