James Woodrow Timberlake Sr.

December 23, 1918 — August 25, 2009

James Woodrow Timberlake Sr., 90, of Radcliff, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 23, 1918, in Columbus, son of the late Irvin Hershel and Julia Billings Timberlake. James was married for 72 years to Mary Ann Pinatiello Timberlake, who survives.

He retired from OSU Maintenance and was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. James was a lifetime member of the McArthur VFW Post #5299 and a member of the Lighthouse Church in Jackson.

James is survived by two sons, James W. Martha Timberlake Jr. of South Carolina and Robert Mary Timberlake of Columbus; a daughter, Jeannette Louise Jones of Radcliff; eight grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren and a stepbrother, Harry Oyler of Tuscan, Arizona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings; a son-in-law and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Lighthouse Church, 2063 Kessinger School Road, Jackson with Pastor Russ Strange officiating. Interment services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, in Sunset Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the services at the church at on Friday.
