Mary K. Kitty Patton

February 5, 1928 — September 10, 2009

Mary K. ""Kitty"" Patton, 81, of Nelsonville, passed away, Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Logan Health Care Center. She was born February 5, 1928 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late John and Katherine Elizabeth ""Kate"" Patton.

Kitty was a graduate of the Hocking College food service program and after graduation, worked at the Hocking Valley Motor Lodge as a banquet coordinator before moving on to the Hocking Correctional Facility where she was the food services coordinator. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Nelsonville and was a former Chaplain of the Nelsonville Eagles.

She was survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Bill Glick of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Katie Mohney of Nelsonville, Kathy Scott Mohney Warren of Athens and Kody Mohney of Nelsonville; great granddaughter, Samiah Warren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kitty was preceded in death by a brother, John Patton and sisters, Violet Courtney and Bernice Warren.

The Patton family would also like to thank nurses, Karen, Mary and Bethany and the staff at Logan Health Care Center for the kind and compassionate care they gave to Kitty during her final days.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Thurman Breeze officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday from 12 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
