Albert Thress

Albert Thress Jr., 80, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at his residence. He was born December 11, 1928 in Hocking County, son of the late Albert and Edith Skiver Thress.

He was a retired Oil Well foreman for Bethel Oil.

He is survived by sons, Raymond Sheryl Thress of Logan, Shane Thress of Shawnee, Justin Hope Thress and Zachary Thress both of Cambridge; a daughter, Angela Tom Bowers of Nelsonville; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Thress and Shortie Thress.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law who raised him in their home, Raymond and Maggie Wollett, and several other brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
