George A. Hopkins

George A. Hopkins, 65, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 27, 1944, in Hocking County, son of the late Charles and Gladys Sater Hopkins. George was married to Linda Mullinex Hopkins, who survives.

He is survived by sons, Dean Jackie Hopkins of Bremen, Bryan Rose Hopkins of California, Jeremy, Joshua, Daniel and Curtis Nuzum; daughters, Melissa Frank Alkire of Logan and Amy Mike Anderson; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Kenny Hopkins; sisters, Mary Swackhammer of Lancaster, Martha Bill Poling of Logan and Sharon Carter of Florida; former wife, Nancy Houseman Hopkins and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wives, Hazel Hopkins and Wanda Hopkins; eighteen brothers and sisters; a daughter, Angela Hopkins and a son and daughter-in-law, Marty Tina Hopkins.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Scott Heskitt officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4-8 P.M.
