Retha D. Reynolds

Retha D. Reynolds, 77, went to meet her Lord and Savior, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. Retha had been a resident of Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster. She was born April 23, 1932, in Hocking County, daughter of the late Franklin W. and Blanch Bodkins Brewer. Retha was the widow of the late John C. Reynolds.

She retired from Anchor Hocking Plant II after 17 years of service, graduated in 1950 from Logan High School and sold Avon in the Logan area for over 20 years. Retha was a member of Cross Pointe Free Will Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by her sons, Willard Sonia Lang of Jacksonville, Florida and Richard Nancy Reynolds of Lancaster; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Joseph Zentmyer Jr., of Buxton, North Carolina and Margaret John Butler of Glenford, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a brother, Lowell Inboden of Olympia, Washington; sisters, Celia Larry Blair of Logan and Leah Blosser of Logan; brother-in-law, James Holley of Gallipolis and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Retha was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemarie Holley; brothers, George and Larry Brewer; brother-in-law, Sherman Blosser; grandson, Richard Crain and a great grandson, Joseph Zentmyer IV.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, September 21, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Pastor Bill C. Pitts officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
