Robert James Mckenzie

Robert James McKenzie, 80, of Vinton, Ohio, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 at his residence. He was born March 14, 1929, in Minerton, Ohio, son of the late Lewis and Sarah Elizabeth Oiler McKenzie. Robert was married to Judy Marie Salmons McKenzie, who survives.

He retired from Rockwell in Columbus, was a Korean Air Force Veteran and a member of the Wilkesville Masonic Lodge.

Robert is survived by sons, Patrick Daniese McKenzie of Indianapolis and Steve Frank Patrick McKenzie of Chicago; daughters, Judy Ron White of Littleton, Colorado and Sharon McKenzie of Erlanger, Kentucky; a stepdaughter, Kathy Branstetter of Marion, Ohio; a stepson, David McKenzie of Marion, Ohio; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren and Bubba, Gracie and Tess.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Edith ""Jackie"" Pridemore McKenzie; brothers, Pat, Henry and Alva McKenzie and sisters, Elizabeth Shearer and Helen McKinniss.

Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. with Masonic services being held at 7:30 P.M. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2009 in the Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, Ohio. Interment will be in Obetz Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call Saturday, in the Evans Funeral Home in Columbus from 11 A.M. until the time of the service.
