Helen Louise Baird

Helen Louise Baird, 79, passed away in the early morning on October 28, 2009 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Hocking Valley Community Hospital, following an extended illness. Helen was born in Logan on March 27, 1930, the daughter of Joe and Marie nee: Clark Foltz, graduated from Logan High School and was married to Billy Lee Baird in 1948.

She is survived by her sister, JoAnn Vaughn, her children, Michael Carol Baird, Susan W. Robert Leonard and William Tracy Baird and seven grandchildren, Abbey Gerken, Maggie Gerken, Ellen Baird, Jonathan Baird, Grace Baird, Isabelle Baird and Tessler Baird.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Baird Gerken, her brother, Okey Foltz and her husband, Bill.

She was a devoted mother and loving wife and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, sister and many kind friends.

Private funeral services will be handled by Cardaras Funeral Home. There are no visitation hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a charitable donation be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association, 950 Michigan Ave, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
