Rosemary Evans

Rosemary Evans, 71, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her residence. She was born September 8, 1938, in Nelsonville, daughter of the late William and Bessie McDonald Jones. Rosemary was the widow of the late Dale L. Evans, who passed away November 10, 1993.

She formerly worked for Nelsonville Head Start.

Rosemary is survived by a son, Shannon L. Tammy Evans of Nelsonville; a daughter, Nedra L. Roy Jr. Plant of Nelsonville and grandchildren, Roy Plant III, Cristofer Evans and Alyson Evans all of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Elmer and Jessie McDonald and two sisters, Minnie Ryan and Georgia Dale Williams.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 6-8 P.M.
