Bernice D. Wilt

Bernice D. Wilt, 96, of Londonderry, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born March 28, 1913 in Vinton County, daughter of the late John and Addie Clay Vickers. Bernice was the widow of the late Samuel Wilt Sr.

She was a retired cook at Allensville School.

Bernice is survived by sons, Gene Wilt of Allensville, Olan ""Turtle"" Pam Truman Wilt of Londonderry, Samuel Betty Wilt Jr. of Wellston and Larry Wilt of Londonderry; a daughter, Jane Robison of Londonderry; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wilt and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, November 13, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Danny Minton officiating. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Allensville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.
