Gregory Allen Bentley

Gregory Allen Bentley, 54, of Pataskala, formerly of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at OSU Medical Center, Columbus. He was born October 23, 1955, in Nelsonville, son of Damon Bentley of Doanville and the late Ruth Fouty Bentley. He was married to Sheri Zeller Bentley, who survives.

Greg retired from the United States Postal Service where he was an electronics technician and was a Vietnam era veteran of the United States Air Force. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan with a great sense of humor, who loved his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Sheri, he is survived by a son, Luke Bentley of Athens; a daughter, Taylor Bentley of Pataskala; brothers, Roger Penny Bentley of Hebron and Gary Lynda Bentley of Athens; sisters, Shirley Roger Blevins of Chauncey and Judy Roy Ollom of Vincent; brother-in-law, Michael Tammy Zeller of Grove City; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

In addition to his mother, Greg was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Wanda Zeller.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be at Taylor Ridge Cemetery, Trimble Township where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
