Rev. Ernest Allen Lucas Jr.

Rev. Ernest Allen Lucas Jr., 58, of Chillicothe, formerly of McArthur, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 4, 1951 in Key West, Florida, son of Rev. Ernest A. Lucas Sr. of Georgetown, Ohio and Lucille Ruth Estep Lucas of Chillicothe. Ernie was married to Debra Oakes Lucas, who survives.

He was a retired Methodist Minister and a former member of the Masonic Lodge in McArthur.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ernie is survived by sons, John Travis Karri Lucas of Stewart, Ohio and Robert Allen Lisa Lucas of Chillicothe; daughters, Lisa Marie Donoho of Wellston and Rachel Khalida Lucas of Chillicothe; four grandsons, Travis, Skylar, Dominic and Matthew Lucas; brothers, Joe L. Lucas of Georgia, David P. Lucas of Chillicothe and John M. Lucas of London, England and a sister, Carol A. Doles of Newark.

Ernie's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, December 12, 2009 in the McArthur United Methodist Church, 200 S. Market St., McArthur with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Immediately following the service, there will be a pot luck dinner at the church. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests contributions be made in memory of Rev. Ernest Allen Lucas Jr. to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601-9938.
