Shirley Ann Howard

Shirley Ann Howard, 77, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Logan Health Care Center in Logan. She was born September 20, 1932, in Doanville, Ohio, daughter of the late Carl and Maud Tittle Wallace. Shirley was married for 57 years to Dean Howard, who survives.

She was a 1950 Buchtel High School graduate and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nelsonville.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by a special nephew, who she helped raise, Kent Bateman and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard, Dale, James and Joe Wallace and a sister, Mary Lou Bateman.

Shirley has been cremated. No visitation will be held. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
