Edward Lee Rutter

Edward ""Lee"" Rutter, 75, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Logan Health Care Center in Logan. He was born February 12, 1934 in Union Furnace, son of the late Walter and Mildred Stover Rutter. Lee was married to Shirley B. Wingrove Rutter, who survives.

He retired after 38 years of service from General Electric, was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Logan Moose and American Legion.

Lee is survived by his sons, Cullen L. Kellie Rutter and Carroll ""C.L."" Lori Rutter both of Union Furnace; a daughter, Cheryll Charles Staten of Logan; grandchildren, Renee Chad Slack, Ashlee Fast, Jessica Rutter and Jordan Rutter; great grandchildren, Aislynn Slack and Jada Fast and a brother, James L. Rutter of Ft. Myers, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Rutter.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, December 13, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating. Entombment will be in New Fairview Mausoleum, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard Unit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 3-8 P.M.
