Dwight Eugene Gene Ratcliff

Dwight Eugene ""Gene"" Ratcliff, 79, of Londonderry, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 17, 1930, in Ross County, son of the late Linza and Mabel Glandon Ratcliff. Gene was married to the late Vera Maxine Stuck Ratcliff. She was the love of his life.

He formerly worked for Richland Rural Schools.

Gene is survived by sons, Dwight Brenda Ratcliff of McArthur and Donald Fianc?, Karen Melott Ratcliff of Londonderry; daughters, Susan Don Hutchinson of Chillicothe, Marcia Skiz Bonds of Greenfield, Peggy Chad Ryan of Londonderry and daughter-in-law, Susan Ratcliff of Londonderry; grandchildren, Joey Diana Barnes, Brian Ratcliff, who he helped raise, and his special wife Michelle, Michelle Jimmy Lloyd, Jack Justice, Alisa Ratcliff, Mandy Curtis Martin, Jeremy Ryan and Jenny Ratcliff; great grandchildren, Brian Ratcliff Jr., Brittany Ratcliff, Daisy Barnes, Vera Lloyd, Diamond Justice, Josie Barnes, Garrett Martin, Nate Ward and Natalie Ward; brother, Richard Shirley Ratcliff; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ratcliff; several nieces and nephews and special friends and caretakers, Angie Ross, Edna Mae Bledsoe and Frontier Community Services.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ratcliff and sisters, Donna and Rosemary Ratcliff.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, December 15, 2009 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Harper officiating. Interment will be in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 4-8 P.M.
