Guy Edward Ed Newlun

Guy Edward ""Ed"" Newlun, 65, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2009 at his residence. He was born January 26, 1944, in Nelsonville, son of the late Webster and Mary Betts Newlun.

He formerly worked at Wal-Mart in Logan and was an assistant manager at Starfire in The Plains.

Ed is survived by his daughters, Melissa Dale Wilkening of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and Tammy Klinger of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Dustin Wilkening, Steven Klinger, Catherine Prine and Robert Prine; a brother, Charlie Martha Newlun of Nelsonville; sisters, Pam Lyall of Nelsonville and Sylvia Newlun of Cleveland and a special friend, Mary Ellen Teal.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mike Newlun; daughter, Cathy Prine; grandson, Jesse Wilkening; a brother, Daniel Webster Newlun; a sister, Judy Weaver and his first wife, Mae Thompson Newlun.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, December 21, 2009 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor David Cogar officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M.
