Dillard L. Wallace, 88, of Logan, passed away Monday, December 21, 2009 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born September 16, 1921 in Gallipolis, son of the late Eura and Verba Sanders Wallace. Dillard was married for 52 years to the late Evelyn Louise Myers Wallace.
He was a retired mobile home salesman, a WWII Army Veteran and a member of Hocking Hills Church of Christ.
Dillard is survived by a son, Randy Paula Wallace of Logan; a daughter, Loeta ""Sue"" Bownes of Logan; grandchildren, Bryan Bridgette Bownes, Debbie Rob Myers, Brent Becky Bownes, Robyn Campbell, Tracey Tony Byram Wallace and Mark Hollie Wallace; eleven great grandchildren, Ashley and Keith Goss, Cassie, Carrie, Bradley and Breanna Bownes, Garrett and Shailynn Myers, Kailyn Reedy, Peyton Wallace and Shawn Byram and sisters, Thelma Puckett of Mercerville and Vivian Moore of Gallipolis.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters and a great granddaughter, Kadence Evelyn Campbell.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Tom Postle officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard Unit. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
