Dorothy N. Lovett

Dorothy N. Lovett, 84, of Buchtel, passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 6, 1925 in Albany, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clinton B. and Hazel McHarg Oxley. She was the widow of the late Robert S. Lovett who passed away January 15, 1988.

She formerly attended the Lunch Bunch at the Nelsonville First United Methodist Church, was a member of Eastern Star and loved spending time with her family, jigsaw puzzles, baking, fishing, camping and her dogs.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Harry Danielle Lovett of Columbus, Darrell Lovett of Kerr, Ohio and Suella Meek of Buchtel; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Weiss of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry and Kenneth Lovett; sister and brothers, Evelyn, Lawrence, Kenneth and Harold Oxley.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 PM until the time of the service.
