Carl Edwin Young

Carl Edwin Young, 72, of Logan, formerly of McArthur, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2010 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born May 13, 1937 in Vinton County, son of the late Elisha and Maggie Belle Truman Young.

He enjoyed attending Baptist Church services.

Carl is survived by a son, Mike Mary Young of Ross County; daughters, Melody Young of Laurelville and Karla Scott Ross of New Plymouth; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kendra, Bradley, Mikey, Crystal, Marissa, Brittany, Maggie and Bric; a step granddaughter, Jacey; four great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Becky Young of Frankfort, Joe Ethel Butterbaugh Young of Vigo and John Linda Young of Lancaster; sisters, Ethel Ralph Hinkley of Washington Courthouse and Annabel Harold Hettinger of Adelphi and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Rhonda and Marla Young and a sister, Rosalie Young.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Log Pile Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M.
