Paul Franklin Nelson, 71, of Logan, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010 at Logan Health Care Center. He was born September 29, 1938 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, son of the late John and Grace Buttrick Nelson. Paul was married to Barbara Jean Fisher Nelson, who survives.
He was a retired mechanic from Bob Daniels Buick in Columbus, an Army Veteran and a member of the Logan Moose Lodge.
Paul is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Rudolph Villarreal Nelson of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Andrew Paul Villarreal and Jessica Eryn Hoeft; a brother, Howard Nelson and sisters, Nellie Hall and Carol Nelson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John, George and David Nelson and sisters, Jenny Deshie and Flo Hatfield.
It was Paul's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. No calling hours will be observed.
