Sierra Ashanta Danner

Sierra Ashanta Danner, age 5, gained her wings on Friday, February 26, 2010 and flew home to be with God after a long battle with cancer. She was born July 26, 2004 in Chillicothe, daughter of Bill Jr. and Cory Thompson Danner.

Sierra is survived by a big sister, Kaitlen; a little brother, Layne, both of the home; grandparents, Pappy Bill and Mammy Grace Danner of South Bloomingville and Paul Thompson of Logan, Tim Nichols and Rose Thompson of McArthur; great grandparents, Mary Kay Campbell of Ray and Avenell Hart of Londonderry; a special uncle Doug and grandma Tisha Patterson of Ray; a special baby cousin, Butter Malachi Hamilton of McArthur and several aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Beman and Ruby Danner, Paul and Glenna Ruth Thompson, Francis Hart, Richard Bethel and a special baby cousin, littleman Kevin Allen Patterson.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, March 4, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Thursday, from 12 noon until the time of the service.
