Hazel Burch

Hazel Burch, 90, of Carbon Hill, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 26, 2010 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born October 2, 1919 in Hocking County, daughter of the late David and Maggie Hill Christian. Hazel was married to Joe M. Burch, who survives.

She was a retired beautician.

Hazel is survived by her sons, Joe M. Burch II of Chauncey and Jason Shane Shannon Atha Burch of Carbon Hill; sisters, Betty Bill Allen of Jeffersonville, Joan Rolland Harris of Longstreth and Kay Sonny Campbell of Carbon Hill and her loving fur ball companion, Suzie-Q.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Phil Harris; sisters, Lorena Hemsley and Mary Hemsley and brothers, Leonard and Charles Christian.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Dew Cemetery, Buchtel. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 1-3 P.M. and 5-7 P.M.
