Dollie I. Allen

Dollie I. Allen, 83, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born August 27, 1926 in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Floyd and Goldie Kisor Clark. She was married to Ben Allen, who survives, for 61 years.

Dollie devoted her whole life to her loving family and was a very faithful member of the Oak Grove Wesleyan Church, Nelsonville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Donna Leonard Breeze and Janet Joe Riley both of Nelsonville and Tamara David Brey of Delaware; a son, Timothy Terrie Allen of Centerburg; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Betty Clark of Nelsonville; sisters, Maxine Dalton and Margaret Dee Dishong both of Nelsonville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Todd; a brother, Charles Clark; a sister, Betty Lautner and an infant brother, Edward Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. David Cogar officiating. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
