Lynia Bond, 85, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born December 17, 1924 in Corbin, Kentucky, daughter of the late John H. and Mollie Godsey Hart. Lynia was the widow of the late Ralph E. Bond.
She retired from Smead Manufacturing and was a member of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Logan.
Lynia is survived by a son, Walter Patty Yeknich of Hana, Hawaii; grandchildren, Kelly Jones, Meagan, Chad, Danielle and Corey Yeknich and Ryan Wadsworth; several great grandchildren and sisters, Beulah Chadwell of Cincinnati and Pearl Jacobs of Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, George Yeknich and sisters, Eva Wilson and Rena Martin.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Interment will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
