Lee Wayne Riley

Lee Wayne Riley, 75, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 29, 1934 in Montezuma, Tennessee, son of the late Richard Lee and Nellie Jane Tull Riley. Lee was married to Marilyn Turner Riley, who survives.

Lee retired from the Airmail Facility at the United States Postal Service in Columbus, was a Korean War Army Veteran and was a member of the McArthur Church of The Nazarene.

In addition to his wife, Lee is survived by a son, Jimmy Wayne Elizabeth Riley of Wellston; daughters, Christy John Giardino of Jacksonville, Tammy Jim Petty of McArthur and Kathy Jim Ledbetter of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Rebecca Riley, Tiffany Buckley, Erica Murdoch, Jamie Myers, James Riley Petty who is in the 82 Airborne, Andrew Lee Ledbetter, Sarah Keeton, Jaclyn Murdoch, Angela Deck, Melissa Wong, Ashley Riley and Abby Riley; nine great grandchildren, Breanne, Kaylor, Riley, Heidi, Madison, Greyson, Gabrielle, Noah Lee and Emma; a brother, Danny Riley of Missouri; sisters, Pauline Naylor of Henderson Tennessee and Debra Yates of Missouri; a brother-in-law, Richard Turner; sisters-in-law, Mary Riley of Indiana Barb Riley of Wisconsin and good friends, Paul and Jane Edmister.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Jimmy Wade, Billy Gene, Joe Lee and Noral Riley.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the McArthur Church of the Nazarene, 523 N. Market Street with Pastor William Roth officiating. Interment will be in Paw Paw Cemetery, Vinton County, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Saturday from 5-8 P.M. and on Sunday one hour prior to the services at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Lee Wayne Riley to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
