William E. ""Bill"" Fisk, 79, of New Marshfield, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Odyssey House, Columbus. He was born November 30, 1930 in Zanesville, the son of the late Donald Edward and Lora Devol Fisk. He was married to Carolyn Hanley Fisk, who survives.
Bill was a 1948 graduate of Nelsonville High school and was retired from Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric. He was a Past Exalted Ruler of Nelsonville Elks B.P.O.E. #543, the Nelsonville Church of the Epiphany and the Athens County Mounted Posse.
He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Flowers of New Marshfield and Martha Mark Payne of New Port Richey, Florida; two sons, Jeff Gail Fisk of Worthington and Rex Marilyn Fisk of Lancaster; two stepsons, Philip Blower of Pleasantville and Steven Blower of Coolville; grandchildren, Lacey Cook, Cory Fisk, Chris Flowers, Heather Campbell, Uriah Fisk, Kim Phillips, Tonya Banik, Steve Pallo, Harley Blower and Grace Blower; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Ed Hamer of Austin, TX and Ellen Beachman of Powell; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his former wife, June Shafer Fisk Hoce and an infant son.
Bill's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Father William Pursley officiating. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home where an ELKS service will be conducted at 7:30 PM.
