Evelyn Marie Davis

Evelyn ""Marie"" Davis, 80, of Parma, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1930 in Hocking County, daughter of the late Rev. Lawrence and Minnie Mae Corson Souders. Marie was the loving wife of Dwight E. Davis, who survives. They were married for 60 years.

She retired from Cleveland Machine Controls and was a kind hearted woman who was loved by all and will never be forgotten.

In addition to her husband, Marie is survived by sons, Daniel Jean Davis of Garfield Heights, Roger Helen Davis of Hinkley, Gary Judy Davis of Wadsworth and Alan Davis of Parma; daughters, Sherrie Jarrett Spears of Broadview Heights, Lynn Davis of Parma and Laurie David Vale of Garfield Heights; seventeen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Souders of Logan and Bill Souders of Axtel, Texas and a sister, Rachel Cochran of Logan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. James Mathias officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M.
