Beacher H. Pendleton

August 4, 1950 — June 24, 2010

Beacher H. Pendleton, 59, of New Plymouth, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Riverside Hospital, Columbus. He was born August 4, 1950 in Vinton County, son of the late Jay and Lucille Erwin Pendleton. Beacher was married to Joy Cherry Pendleton, who survives.

He retired from CSX Railroad and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Melanie, Laura and BJ Pendleton, Robbie and April Thompson, Tera Crawford, Chad and Shellie Thompson and Billy and Tammy Hensley; eight grandchildren; a brother, Rick Pendleton of Hamden; sisters, Connie Ted Post of South Bloomfield, Bonnie Bob Hamilton of Vinton and Evelyn Bob Porter of Jackson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Buford Pendleton and two sisters, Kathryn Markin and Beulah Whiting.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Radcliff Fellowship Chapel, State Route 160 and 32, with Rev. Ralph Cordle officiating. Interment will be in Radcliff Cemetery, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., PO Box 302, McArthur.
