Charles William Huddy

Charles William ""Bill"" Huddy, 71, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 20 1938, in Athens County, son of the late Virgil and Verna McConaha Huddy.

He is joined by his loving wife, Mary Lou; two sons; a stepson and both parents, in heaven.

He is survived and loved by brother and sisters; children; grandchildren; great grandchildren and many friends.

Millwright by trade, Bill retired in 2000. He enjoyed working, hunting, and attending gun shoots.

He especially loved the hills of his childhood and returned to them upon his retirement.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, July 9, 2010 at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Appalachian Community Hospice, 30 Herrold Ave., Athens, Ohio 45701 or to the charity of your choice.
