Pearl Newton McManis, 60, of Lucasville, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. He was born September 29, 1949 in Dundas, son of the late John and Mary Boyer McManis. Pearl was married to the late Carolyn Coleman McManis.
He was a truck driver for Charles Snavely Trucking, a Vietnam Army Veteran and a member of the Broken Arrow Association.
Pearl is survived daughters, Sandra Shane Perdue and Jessica McManis all of Piketon; grandchildren, Erica, Zackary, Newt and Tanner; a brother, Johny and sisters, Maude, Della, Nancy, Goldie and Mary Jane.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda and two brothers, Jimmy and Sherman.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 30, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Wayne Smith officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Hamden, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.
