Helen F. Britton

Helen F. Britton, 82, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born September 16, 1927 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Hoadley L and Julia Sheets Garlic.

Helen retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Kay Tom Neal of McArthur and Paula Lynn Marvin Hale of Albany; grandchildren, Steph, Les, Chris, Marla and Jake; great grandchildren, Sophia, Spencer, Olivia and Owen; a brother, Franklin D. Garlic of Crown City, Ohio and a special friend, Gene Britton of Wellston.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Max and Junior Garlic.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 P.M.
