Joan E. Droney

Joan E. Droney 87 of McArthur passed away August 21, 2010 at Russell Nursing Home in Albany. She was born July 6, 1923 in Van Wert, Ohio daughter of the late Milan Kampf and Mary Wise Kampf Carlson. She was the widow of the late Bernard Droney.

Joan was retired from Colorado State University and was a member of the United Church of God.

She is survived by daughters Jan George Grounds of Albany, and Marlene Jim Smith of Gering, Nebraska. Grandchildren Tim and David Grounds of Athens, Jeremy Smith of Gering, Nebraska and J.W. Smith of Virginia. Great Grandchildren Jayden and Loralei Smith. Sisters Dot Eger, Mitzie Janowiak, and Peg Bowen.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00PM Tuesday in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home 201 W. High St. McArthur, Ohio with Bill Jahns officiating. Private Interment will be held on Wednesday in School Lot Cemetery, Meigs County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00PM until time of service.
