L. Darlene Frazier

Lena Darlene Ball Frazier, 57, of Chauncey, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born April 24, 1953 in Athens, the daughter of Jean Schoonover Ball of Chauncey and the late James Lee Ball.

A retired Registered Nurse, she loved her job in Obstetrics for many years. She enjoyed her family, bingo, photography and scrap booking.

Darlene is survived by her mother, Jean Ball of Chauncey; son, Bryan Ball of Chauncey; grandson, Chase Nicholas; sisters, Debbie Barry Sr. Lowery of Glouster and Tammy Ball of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Lane Sams of Chauncey and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, Darlene was preceded in death by sisters, Sherrie Sams and Tonya Ball; maternal grandparents, John and Lena Schoonover and her son's father, Jimmy Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Pastor Gary Alton officiating. Interment will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
