Eldon Ray Reedy

Eldon Ray Reedy, 75, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born January 24, 1935 in Jackson County, Ohio, son of the late Leslie and Helen Skyles Reedy.

Eldon formerly owned and operated Reedy's Market in McArthur, was an Army Veteran and was a member of the Delta Masonic Lodge #207 F & AM, the Eagles in McArthur and the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and the Aladdin Temple Shrine.

He is survived by sons, Christopher Reedy of McArthur and Brian Terri Reedy of McArthur; daughters, Christy Dick Kruger of Londonderry and Susan Workman-Taylor of Columbus; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Sue Reedy of McArthur; a brother, Dennis Della Reedy of New Carlisle and sisters, Marsha Chuck Brown of Beavercreek, Rose Shoemaker of Dayton, Hannah Bill Loptien of Dayton, Erma Jean Paul Ward of Jackson and Marg Kuhn of McArthur.

In addition to his parents, Eldon was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Kruger; a brother, Tommy Reedy and a sister, Ruth Ann Frush.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shriners Burn Hospital, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
